Description
This 1955 Chevrolet Bel Air Nomad was extensively modified and refurbished in 2023 and is powered by a GM Performance ZZ6 350ci small-block V8 paired with a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission. Finished in pearl maroon over a white and red leather interior, this custom build rides on a C4 Corvette chassis with adjustable coilovers, rack-and-pinion steering, and four-wheel disc brakes.
The exterior features chrome bumpers and trim, dual mirrors, hooded headlights, a hood ornament, and dual exhaust outlets. Split-spoke 17" chrome wheels are fitted with Toyo Extensa HP tires, and braking is handled by slotted and drilled rotors at all four corners.
Inside, the cabin is reupholstered in white and red leather with a power-adjustable front bench seat, matching rear seat, and red carpeting. Amenities include Vintage Air climate control, a retro-look digital stereo, bowtie dashboard trim, and carpeted floor mats. The Ididit steering column supports a three-spoke steering wheel and Dakota Digital instrumentation, including a 120-mph speedometer, tachometer, and auxiliary gauges. The odometer shows 201 miles, representing use since the completion of the build; total mileage is unknown.
The GM ZZ6 crate engine features a forged crankshaft and connecting rods, four-bolt main bearings, and a hydraulic roller camshaft, producing a factory-rated 405 horsepower. Cooling is managed by an oversized Derale aluminum radiator with an electric fan. Power is routed through a 700R4 four-speed automatic transmission, and a dual exhaust system with electric cutouts and Flowmaster mufflers provides the soundtrack.
