1968 Chevrolet Camaro

This 1968 Chevrolet Camaro coupe underwent a three-year refurbishment under previous ownership in Florida, completed in 2005. The work included refinishing the body in blue with black stripes, refreshing the interior, and installing a small-block 327 V8 rebuilt to 302ci, paired with an M20 four-speed manual transmission and a 12-bolt Eaton Positraction rear axle with 3.73:1 gears. The engine features an aluminum intake manifold, Holley 750-cfm carburetor, PerTronix electronic ignition, ceramic-coated exhaust headers, and dual Flowmaster mufflers. Exterior details include a cowl hood, rear spoiler, hideaway headlamps, Rally-style 15" steel wheels with chrome trim rings and hubcaps, Z/28 and Rally Sport badging, dual exhaust outlets, stainless-steel window moldings, and chrome bumpers and rocker-panel trim. The car was originally finished in LeMans Blue (U-U), and a blemish is noted along the passenger-side fender. Braking is provided by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench upholstered in black vinyl with black-and-white houndstooth inserts, a black dash pad, woodgrain center-stack trim, door panels, carpeting, a center console, a Hurst shifter, and an aftermarket AM/FM radio. The tilt-column woodgrain steering wheel frames a 120-mph speedometer, a 6,000-rpm tachometer with inset clock, and secondary gauges for fuel, amperage, coolant temperature, and oil pressure. The five-digit odometer shows 86,000 miles, with approximately 5,000 added under current ownership; true chassis mileage is unknown.
Power is sent to the rear wheels through the M20 four-speed manual, and the Positraction rear end is fitted with Richmond ring-and-pinion gears. The battery was recently replaced, and the transmission was reportedly rebuilt. The car is offered with partial service records, refurbishment photos, and a clean California title.
