Description
This 1969 Chevrolet Camaro coupe was delivered new to Frontier Chevrolet of Billings, Montana, and remained in the state until the seller's acquisition in 2022. The car underwent a refurbishment by the previous owner in 2018 after roughly 35 years of storage, which included refinishing the body in Hugger Orange with white stripes and reupholstering the interior in black and ivory vinyl houndstooth. It is powered by a replacement 302ci V8 paired with a Muncie M21 four-speed manual transmission and a PosiTraction differential.
Exterior features include a cowl induction hood, front and rear spoilers, Soft Ray tinted glass, dual exhaust outlets, Z/28 badging, and 15" Rally wheels with bright trim rings and hubcaps mounted with 205/70 Goodyear Wide Tread GT white-letter tires. A full-size spare is stowed in the trunk. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums. The left-quarter window rollers were replaced in December 2024, and the trunk was painted with GM speckle paint at that time.
The interior houses front bucket seats and a rear bench reupholstered in black and ivory vinyl houndstooth, black carpets, black vinyl dashboard and door panels, rosewood-rimmed three-spoke steering wheel, woodgrain trim, front seat headrests, rear-seat lap belts, and lap-and-shoulder belts for the front seats. The dashboard features a 120-mph speedometer and a fuel-level gauge.
The replacement 302ci V8 was overhauled during the refurbishment and equipped with an aluminum intake manifold and Holley carburetor. The heater core was replaced and an oil change was performed in preparation for the sale. Suspension work under current ownership included replacement of coil springs, leaf springs, and shocks. Power is sent to the rear wheels through the four-speed manual transmission and PosiTraction differential. The five-digit odometer shows 65,000 miles, approximately 400 of which were added under current ownership.
