Description
This 1971 Chevrolet K5 Blazer is finished in red over black vinyl seats with houndstooth inserts and is powered by a carbureted 350ci V8 paired with a three-speed TH350 automatic transmission and a dual-range transfer case. The body was removed from the frame for rust repair and refinished in red, and the truck rides on 15" Rally-style wheels fitted with 3211.50" Mastercraft Courser MXT tires.
Exterior features include a textured body-color hardtop, a black bikini soft top, chrome bumpers and side mirrors, vent windows, dual exhaust outlets behind each rear tire, manually-locking front hubs, and a four-point roll bar. Braking is handled by power-assisted front discs and rear drums.
The cabin features front bucket seats and a rear bench trimmed in black vinyl with houndstooth inserts, body-color sheetmetal surfaces, a wood-rimmed steering wheel, a 100-mph speedometer with supplementary gauges, lap belts, hand-crank side windows, air conditioning, a RetroSound head unit, and JL Audio speakers.
The 350ci V8 was overhauled during refurbishment, with the oil pan, timing cover, and valve covers resealed. Power is delivered to the rear or all four wheels through the TH350 automatic transmission and dual-range transfer case, with a transmission linkage bushing replaced during service. Fluid maintenance was performed in preparation for use.
