Description
This 1971 Pontiac Firebird Trans Am is finished in white with a black interior and is powered by a 455ci High Output V8 equipped with a Rochester four-barrel carburetor. Power is sent to the rear wheels through a four-speed manual transmission and a Safe-T-Track limited-slip differential. The car features a shaker hood, front air dam, rear decklid spoiler, front fender vents, dual exhaust outlets, and 15" Rally II wheels mounted with F60-15 Goodyear Polyglas tires. Stopping power is provided by power-assisted front disc and rear drum brakes, and it is equipped with power steering.
The interior is refinished in black over the factory Dark Blue surfaces and includes front bucket seats, a center console, a passenger-side grab bar, manual-crank windows, an aftermarket AM/FM radio, a heater, and engine-turned metal dash trim. The three-spoke steering wheel fronts a 160-mph speedometer, tachometer with inset clock, and gauges for fuel level, oil pressure, coolant temperature, and voltage. The five-digit odometer shows 99k miles, approximately 500 of which were added under current ownership.
This Trans Am is one of 2,116 examples produced for the 1971 model year.
